TWO GREAT EVENTS IN ROWLESBURG!

Bring your appetites and stay for the day! Chili and Ramps! This gastronomical festival will be held on April 29th and all for good causes. The Annual Ramp Dinner is hosted by the VFW Post 3008 and Ladies Auxiliary, and cooked by Ron Sines and his crew. The location is the VFW at the corner of Main and Church Streets. All proceeds go to help the veterans. Food to include meatloaf, ham, ramps, raw and cooked, beans with and without ramps, cornbread with and without ramps, potatoes and ramps, stewed ramps, and a few other odds and ends. Noon – 4:00 PM. Price: $10, $6.00 for children.
The Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department will offer the big Chili Cook-Off to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children on Saturday the 29th in Rowlesburg at the Fire Station (next to the Post Office in Rowlesburg). Doors open at 12:00 pm with a $5.00 General Admission fee and $5.00 to taste Chili. No drinks served. BYOB permitted. There will be 50/50 drawings and a Chinese auction for several prizes.
